Trail that was not really there and illusive Gorek shep

Khumbh glacier, base camp ,kala pathar aal in the plain view and are spactacular was the reward for the trek. We scrambled over the rocks and up the hills and down the hills, all of which was the gift of the glacier and it's melting away. There was glacier ice under the dirt and rocks but the so called trail was non existent. You know the general direction and you trust the guides and your insticts and put one foot in front of another. After reaching the top of one hard climb ,we could expect to see Gorek shep except to find another hill to climb. It went on all day till finally the welcome sight of few little structures and yaks resting around was seen. This was such a relief...the thing is you cannot let a single negative thought cross your mind because there is no other option except to go on. At 17640 feet, my legs were refusing to move and breathing was a job that needed to be done to survive.
All of us made it and all of us were exhausted. We shared everything: medicines, hot water, food brought from home, lactate and electrolyte and cough and cold....and we made it.
There is a budhist saying, " sangham sarnam gachhami"...basically saying that the power of the group is more than the sum of individuals. I know this was not possible for me without this group. All of us had our strenghts and weaknesses ( of course we are all perfect☺). And together as a group we were strong, happy and resourceful.
The lodge was cold,no bathrooms, common toilet and we are ready to come back to civilization. The nature is spectacular and so are the people but a little more creature comforts to the lodge ( bathrooms) would have been nice.

Decision is made: thanks to strong negotiation skills of some members of our group.choppers are arranged to come first thing in the morning and take us all to Kathmandu. At these heights nothing is certain and nothing can be taken for granted till it happens. But weather permitting and with good karmawe will all be there in Kathmandu tomorrow morning f
As you can tell so.e of this is written after the fact. My phone got discharged just by being in cold for so long ( bad battery design) and my fingures were too cold to type and the thing will not recognize the glove touch...I tried to write while it is still fresh....
