A peak at the Peak... namche Bazar and Everest

The trek to EBC started in earnest today. We moved up from Fardting to Namche Bazar, aclimb of 2000' in a relentless climb across four suspension bridges, handreds of water falls , views of snow covered peaks and most of all two peaks or Mount Everest. The trek moved along the did koshi river for the most part. The river flows so fast that the churning water looks like milk.
The views and the bridges and the animal crossing along with passing through unspoiled villages , with kids playing around, the whole experience was so rewards that the treturous trail did not look so dounting. While we were struggling to go up with our day packs, the Porter's and the regular residents were zooming by with heavy load of tourist stuff or the regular needs.
These villages have no roads except for this ttrail and there is no vehicle allowed. All the daily needs are brought up by people or animals. Train of donkeys and gokyo ( cross between yak and buffelos) comes along with bells ringing and you better get out of the way...they carry heavy load and will not stop for you so you have to get out of there way😃
The trek is overflowingerrun by trekkers to the extend that some places we literally had traffic jams. Lot of people from Europe as well as from China Korea. Our guide told us that the Chinese and Korean bring there own food ot cook, so thevprters were carrying all the cooking appliences, ulensils and food all the way up to the EBC...sounds like human abuse to me...
The guides are becoming personal friends as well as life saver. They tell us when the animals are coming and which side of the trail we should stand on and also advice is on going slow, taking breaks, wearing warm clothes etc etc...
In terms of the trail this was the hardest I have ever done. Hopefully I will need to be too sore tomorrow. The hotel has spectacular view and the unheated room even has electric blanket and hot shower...a luxury not to be taken lightly.
I will sleep now and try to load the pictures tomorrow morning when the internet is faster. It has been a challenge to use internet but I should be counting my blessings that I can communicate with all of you from such a remote place.
Good night and keep good thoughts for me please...
