A day in dingboche...rocket blasting and exploring
Today was the much needed break. The guides wanted us to go up and down the mountain for the acclamatization, most of the group went but as usual I was going to just hang out and explore. Turns out Vinaya , Raj and pavan decided to stay behind only because they are sick. We walked up for an hour and came back. Hopefully both of them will be better soon.
There is not much here except the lodges and things to support the lodges. There are local people doing daily things, it was nice to walk around and see the kids.
I noticed that the little dirt roads with water flowing on the side are remarkably clean and the courtyards of the houses look simple but clean.
There are many solar systems but no wind farms even though there is heavy wind in the evenings...may be it is a matter of time.
We are told that the yak dung is used for fuel and human's waste is used as fertilizer, may be that's why there vegetables look so big :-)
We hung out in the Sun room , it was almost like sauna, felt really good, lots of laundry happened today but I have decided to just accumulate my dirty laundry till I get to the luxury of my sister in law home in Mumbai and just let her take care of itππ
I noticed some kids hanging out so I went for a little walk in the evening and we launched few rockets. It was lots of fun, s9n the kids and the parents gathered around and we launched few rockets, some of them were leaking and did not work. I wish I had more time and I had carried more stuff....will try tomorrow during lunch.
We have another long hike at 14000 feet going up to 15500 feet tomorrow. Please keep us in your thoughts, I will post once we get there.

Just do it !
