Gods live here
Vinaya,s suggestion to get the window seat on left side of the plane really paid off. View of the Himalayas getting into Kathmandu is breathtaking. It was morning time, Sun was rising over the peaks and the famous shapes were way over the clouds. My window was a very desirable spot this morning.
| The airport and the city are just like any city in india. The people, people’s outfits, signs on the shops ( i said to the guide that the signs are in Hindi and he corrected saying they are in devnagiri)...Gods did actually lived here😌 ( in Hindu mythology, Himalayas are the playground and head quarters for many Gods) and spoke devnagiri..another name for Sanskrit. The city is crowded, dusty and the traffic is as crazy as india. I have been trying to find Nepalese food but so far all I found is either Indian or western food. |
The hotel is very nice and the pool is amazing. I swam for a long time and then visited the school started and run by two amazing women. I was expecting a small , sort of run down school but this one is the way the school should be. They are very interested in working with Explorabox to bring more joy to exploring to the kids and more hands on activities.hope to figure out a way to work with them.
I am forcing myself to sit and just relax. Have not slept all day, should be tired. Only lobby has internet, so I will go to the room in a while and just watch tv or read one of the glen’s books on kindle.
That’s all from the kingdom of Gods for now. Good night from this new country that strangely feel like home.
